CPR Training Needed For Health Jobs

One thing that most people don’t realize is how valuable CPR can be for anyone wanting to get into the medical field. The more people that know the basics of CPR, the more lives that can be saved in the long run.

Many overlook the ability for even children to learn CPR and save a life. More schools are getting involved in helping their students understand the value of CPR and practicing it at school once per year on a safety day. This allows students to save someone they know in a moment where First Aid needs administering.

Many people seem to think that they need to pay for a CPR course in order to receive the training, when really there are many places that offer it for free. Some of these include hospitals, community centers and even occasionally the Fire department will arrange for free CPR training sessions at local schools and gyms.

One student from Singelton High School by the name of Eric said that the things he was taught will never leave his mind. A few videos were played where emergency CPR was used and saved a women’s life. Eric said that he realized that someday he might need to help someone on the spot. having the training and understanding of how people breathe helped him to feel confident should the day come to help out others in need of  medical attention.

Eric said he plans on becoming a dental hygienist, and hopes that others who enter into the medical field or some type of health career will realize early on how valuable learning CPR really is.

For those who need CPR certification’s for their job, a certified expert who is currently training under the America Heart Association is preferred by most employers. This is why it is a good idea to make sure that you are not paying for something that will be useless to your company after getting the training. Obviously the training is still valuable, but the certification needs to be official. Beware as many companies online claim to certify, but few are approved by most businesses.
